Fall 2019 in review

Teachers lead a stretching exercise. It's important for dancers to be stretched out before they start doing more complicated movements.

Classes kicked off in September, and our teachers began instructing in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and poms!

Our teachers are Mizzou students in all majors across the university.

Center Stage dancers, families, and teachers got the opportunity to walk in the annual Mizzou Homecoming parade on October 12. We have gotten to do this for several years now, and it is always a good time!

We followed with a fall party, where parents got a night out and dancers could come, hang out, eat, and play games with each other and the teachers!

Many of our dancers and teachers wear costumes to celebrate Halloween!

Recital Time!

We hold a recital at the end of the semester to showcase the talents of all our dancers! Everyone gets an opportunity to perform and keep their costume after the recital.

We decided on a candy theme for the recital, and our teachers chose the music, made the costumers, and choreographed the routines.

Recital was held on Sunday, November 17 at 3 p.m. at the Missouri Theatre in downtown Columbia. Teachers arrived at 12 p.m. to prepare, and dancers arrived at 2 p.m. to practice their dances one last time before taking the stage!

Before the curtain rises...

Thank you all for such a great semester! We cannot wait for Spring 2020!
